3 College Credits | UT Course Code: M 301 | TCCNS: MATH 1314
High School Course Prerequisites: Algebra 1 required, Geometry recommended
Become a creative, persistent problem-solver who thinks outside the box.
The OnRamps College Algebra course is uniquely designed to encourage students to ask questions, collaborate with peers, and learn to persist through challenges as they explore function families: linear, absolute value, quadratic, polynomial, radical, rational, exponential and logarithmic.
This course builds a firm foundation for future college-level mathematics courses. Students go beyond memorizing formulas to understand the “why” behind them and work together to apply previously learned concepts to make new discoveries and connections.
Course Structure
Inquiry-Based Learning encourages students in this course to take an active role in the construction of their learning and build academic confidence and persistence that can be applied in all subject areas.
