Cultivating Success in Advanced Courses

A yearlong OnRamps Professional Development experience for middle and high school teachers of honors, dual credit and other advanced courses.

Cultivating Success in Advanced Courses equips teachers with powerful instructional strategies to deepen classroom engagement, enable students to thrive in rigorous courses, and drive strong outcomes for their campuses and districts.

Participating teachers engage in a yearlong, structured program based on our proven OnRamps professional development model, while receiving a high level of OnRamps support.

For districts and campuses of all sizes, this learning series strengthens college, career and military readiness (CCMR) and:

  • Improves teaching effectiveness and student success
  • Equips educators with research‑based strategies

Cultivating Results

Cultivating Success in Advanced Courses was designed in response to requests from our partnering campuses seeking to share the benefits of our PLD model with teachers outside of OnRamps. We're proud to report the results from our inaugural cohort in 2024-2025.

Teachers can earn up to 22 continuing professional education (CPE) credit hours for participating in the full series. With district approval, participation satisfies the requirement under 19 TAC §89.2 for six hours of annual professional learning in gifted/talented.
