OnRamps is an innovative dual-enrollment program coordinated by The University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 2011 in partnership with the Texas Higher Education Leaders Consortium and supported by generous funding from the Texas Legislature, OnRamps is dedicated to preparing high school students for postsecondary student success.
Since its inception, OnRamps has also received grants from Lumina, Google, and the National Science Foundation furthering the program's efforts to broaden the impact of dual enrollment in the state.
Many of the best-prepared high school students—even those who have taken the most rigorous course work offered to them—still struggle in entry-level college courses. Far too many of these high-potential students never complete a postsecondary degree.
OnRamps seeks to increase the number and diversity of students who engage in learning experiences aligned with the expectations of leading research universities.
