Discovering Math through Inquiry-Based Learning

The University of Texas at Austin OnRamps program hosts an annual professional learning experience for high school Algebra 2 teachers called OnRamps to OnRamps.

    All Texas Algebra 2 instructors are eligible to participate.


    The new OnRamps to OnRamps yearlong professional learning experience will offer the proven OnRamps Professional Learning model to all Algebra 2 teachers in Texas. Teachers will learn to teach Algebra 2 using Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) from international IBL expert and Professor Mark Daniels and UT Austin mathematicians, Jeremiah Lucas and Mark Townsend. Topics include how to prepare students to excel in advanced mathematics through materials and instruction designed to sharpen their abilities to unpack mathematical concepts and empower them to develop widely applicable problem-solving skills. The institute will include curricular materials and will be held on The University of Texas at Austin campus from June 26-29; housing options are available for non-Austin attendees.
